IPL 2023: Rajasthan Royals (RR) Schedule 2023, Time Table, Timings, Dates, Venues Details and PDF Download

Rajasthan Royals will open their Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) campaign with a mouth-watering clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 2, 2023, in Hyderabad. They finished the last season as runners-up after impressive performances throughout the IPL 2022. Jos Buttler won the Orange Cap (863 runs) and Yuzvendra Chahal bagged Purple Cap with 27 wickets for Royals.

The 16th edition of the tournament will kick off with champions Gujarat Titans facing Chennai Super Kings in the opening clash on March 31 in Ahmedabad. Totals ten teams are divided into two groups and the Royals are in Group A alongside Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants, and Delhi Capitals. Total of 12 venues will be hosting 74 matches in IPL 2023 with Ahmedabad hosting the final on May 28.

Royals further strengthened their squad during the IPL mini-auction 2023 on December 23. Rajasthan Royals managed to retain their core group and added some quality reinforcement in the auction. They signed Caribbean all-rounder Jason Hoder for INR 5.75 crore, their biggest buy on auction day.

They also signed Australian spinner Adam Zampa for just INR 1.5 crore. Zampa will further solidify the Royals' world-class spin attack with Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin. Royals also managed to bag the young South African versatile batter Donovan Ferreira, who came to the fore recently with some eye-catching performances in the SA20 2023.

In a surprise move, Rajasthan made the headlines with the signing of former England captain and one of the best batters of this generation, Joe Root in an accelerated round for just INR 1 crore. Root recently returned to T20 franchise cricket with Dubai Capitals in UAE's ILT20 2023 and smashed 80* & 82 in his last two innings.

The Sanju Samson-led Royals are looking strong with some smart business in the auction and have managed to cover all the areas with good backup options as well.
