The top two teams of the IPL 2024 season met on Tuesday at the Eden Gardens stadium on Tuesday. Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bowl first as they made two changes. Jos Buttler and Ravichandran Ashwin were back in the team for the visitors.
Shreyas Iyer decided to go in with the same team from the last game. The home team had beaten Lucknow Super Giants by 8 wickets to showcase their might with the *bat and ball. One more win will take them to top of the table thanks to their superior run-rate.

Kolkata Knight Riders: 50 runs in 5.5 overs.
Phil Salt fell early but Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi made sure they kept the runs flowing. The two batters played some amazing shots to keep the RR bowlers and fielders on their feet.

Avesh Khan got the opening wicket for the Royals as he took an amazing return catch to dismiss Phil Salt for 10. Sunil Narine continued his rich batting form as he hit Kuldeep Sen for a six and a four before the first break was taken.

Kolkata Knight Riders’ got yet another blazing start thanks to West Indian Sunil Narine. The 35-year-old smashed a six off Ashwin to reach his half-century in front of his home fans.

Rajasthan Royals and Sanju Samson looked lost as the two KKR batters Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi broke no sweat with the bat. The 100 was reached in the final of the 10th over to give KKR a great platform.

After being frustrated by the KKR batters, the Royals bowlers took two wickets to get some relief. Andre Russell and Sunil Narine though took the home team past the 150-run mark with a four in the 15th over of the innings.

Gautam Gambhir and the rest of the KKR side could be seen jumping for joy as Sunil Narine hit a four. That boundary got the veteran West Indian star his first T20 and IPL century and what a game and venue to do it in.

KKR support staff came out to hug and congratulate Sunil Narine on getting to his century. It has been a tremendous ton as the 35-year-old has slowly pushed his side to achieve a score in excess of 200 runs.

Trent Boult finally ended the amazing innings by Sunil Narine as the West Indian star was out for 109. Rinku Singh hit Avesh Khan for a six to help KKR go past 200 runs.

Sanju Samson and Rajasthan Royals will look back at the decision to bowl first with a little bit of regret just like RCB did on Monday. The KKR batters especially Sunil Narine came out swinging to help the home team reach a huge score against a strong RR side.
