Gujarat Titans (GT) bounced back to winning ways in the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) with a three-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Match 24 on Wednesday, April 10 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. After being put in to bat first, Rajasthan posted a huge score of 196/3 in their allotted 20 overs courtesy of half-centuries from Riyan Parag and Sanju Samson.

In reply, GT chased down the target on the last ball of the game courtesy of a half-century from captain Gill and useful cameos from Rashid Khan (24* off 11) and Rahul Tewatia (22 off 11). Kuldeep Sen was the pick of the bowlers for Rajasthan with figures of 3/41 in four overs. Following their victory, climbed to the sixth spot in the IPL 2024 points table with six points from six matches while Rajasthan Royals maintained their top spot with eight points from five games.

1. Riyan Parag continues his brilliant form

The 22-year-old brought up his third half-century of the season as he played a brilliant knock of 76 (48) with the help of three fours and five sixes. Parag walked into bat with his side on 42/2 after 5.4 overs as both openers Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal returned to the pavilion cheaply. After the early blow, Parag got involved in a crucial 130-run stand-off 78 balls with captain Samson and took his teamโ€™s score past 170.

2. Sanju Samson scores second consecutive fifty

The Rajasthan Royals captain also continued to pile on the runs in the ongoing season registering his second consecutive half-century. The 29-year-old scored an unbeaten 68* off 38 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes to bail his team out of early trouble and post a total of 196 on the board.

3. Shubman Gillโ€™s splendid knock

The Gujarat Titans captain registered his second half-century of the season as he played a brilliant knock of 72 off 44 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes. Gill opened the innings alongside Sai Sudharsan and the duo added 64 runs for the first wicket off 50 balls. The right-handed batter dismissed in the 16th over leaving his side on 133/5.
