IPL 2024: Ravindra Jadeja bags unique record during CSK vs KKR clash at Chepauk

Ravindra Jadeja scripted history in the match against KKR with his brilliant performance as a bowler and as a fielder in Chennai. The star cricketer helped CSK to return to winning ways with his sensational spell with the ball and a couple of crucial catches. The 35-year-old became the first-ever player to achieve the triplet of scoring 1000 or more runs, taking 100 or more wickets, and claiming 100 or more catches. An economy of 4.50 was decisive in CSK restricting KKR to just 137 runs on the board. Even as a fielder, he claimed two important catches and impacted the end result.

Jadeja claimed the catches of Phil Salt and Shreyas Iyer to complete 100 catches in the IPL. CSK chased the total with 14 balls to spare and seven wickets in hand. The rockstar was rightfully named the player of the match for his performance as a bowler and as a fielder. It was a brilliant example of what a cricketer like Jadeja can do and impact the game.
