Royal Challengers Bengaluru came up with an inspired performance with the ball to dismiss Gujarat Titans for 147. Shahrukh Khan top-scored with 37 while David Miller scored 30 and Rahul Tewatia scored 35 for the visitors.

The RCB bowling was led by Mohammed Siraj, Vijaykumar Vyshak, and Yash Dayal who picked two wickets each. Cameron Green got the key wicket of Sai Sudharsan as Karn Sharma was the man who dismissed the dangerous David Miller.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru: 50 runs off 3.1 overs

Faf Du Plessis started batting like a man possessed as he went after the Gujarat Titans bowlers. The RCB skipper spared no bowler as he gave his team a flying start as the fifty came inside 4 overs.


Half-century: Faf Du Plessis off 18 balls

Gujarat Titans bowlers had nowhere to hide as the RCB skipper took them to the cleaners. The veteran batter got to his fifty from just 18 balls which is the second fastest ever behind Chris Gayle.


Powerplay: Overs 0.1 to 6 and first strategic time-out (Mandatory – 92/1)

The blistering start given by Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli killed off the game in the first six overs. The RCB skipper made 64 runs off 22 balls before he fell to Joshua Little caught by Shahrukh Khan just before the powerplay overs could end.


Royal Challengers Bengaluru: 100 runs from 7 overs

Virat Kohli didn’t let up the pressure as he kept scoring runs putting the bowlers under pressure. The home team reached the 100 mark in 7 overs as they looked on course for a huge win.


End of the match: RCB - 152/6 from 13.4 overs

After being 92/0 the home team slipped to 117/6 as Joshua Little picked four wickets. Dinesh Karthik then changed the game once more as he hit Rashid Khan for 16 runs from his first over. Swapnil Singh joined in the act as he hit a few lusty blows including a six off Rashid Khan to finish the game inside 14 overs.
