IPL 2024: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Schedule 2024, Time Table, Timings, Dates, Venues Details and PDF Download

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are all set to turn their fortunes in the upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL), which is set to begin on March 22. IPL 2023 was one of SRH's worst campaigns in the history of the tournament, finishing at the bottom of the table. Throughout the tournament, they were reeling at the bottom of the table, winning only four games out of the 14 matches played with 8 points under their belt.

Due to general elections scheduled at the same time as the IPL, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule of the first 21 games of the IPL 2024 on February 22. The tournament will kick off with defending champions Chennai Super Kings taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday, March 22 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Sunrisers Hyderabad will start their campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on 23 March in Kolkata.

Sunrisers went after several big names in the IPL 2024 auction, they made history by getting the services of Australian skipper Pat Cummins for a whopping INR 20.50 crore. They also got the star Australian opener Travis Head for INR 6.80 crore. They also roped in Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga for INR 1.5 crore and left-arm Indian pacer Jaydev Unadkat for INR 1.60 crore.

Apart from these big names in the squad, they also roped in some domestic talents, like Akash Singh for INR 20 lakh and Jhathavedh Subramanyan INR 20 lakh. They also traded young Indian all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed to their squad from RCB.

SRH have a formidable line-up of foreign talents, including ODI World Cup-winning captain Pat Cummins and explosive opener Travis Head. Aiden Markram, who recently led Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) to SA20 victory for the second time, also previously captained SRH. With middle-order batters like Heinrich Klaasen and all-rounder Marco Jansen bolstering the roster, leadership decisions and adjusting the foreign players in the playing XI becomes a task. The hefty investment in Cummins raises the questions whether he will be given the captaincy of the franchise or not. However, Markram's prior experience and proven success with the SEC team cannot be overlooked.
