Indian cricketer and spinner Kuldeep Yadav got engaged to his childhood friend Vanshika in a private ceremony held in Lucknow on June 4. The intimate event was attended by close family members and a few fellow cricketers from Uttar Pradesh, including Rinku Singh.
The ceremony took place at a venue in the city, where the couple exchanged rings in a traditional setting. Vanshika hails from Shyam Nagar and works with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). The engagement has drawn attention from fans and well-wishers.
Kuldeep was recently seen in action representing Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The franchise finished fifth in the points table while winning seven matches. The 30-year-old had a decent season, picking up 15 wickets in 14 matches at an economy rate of 7.07.
Beyond the IPL, Kuldeep has been a key player for the Indian national team, playing a vital role in their victories at the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy.

Kuldeep will be in action during India’s upcoming five-match Test series against England, starting June 20 at Headingley, Leeds. He has been named as the only specialist spinner in the 18-member Indian squad, which will be a crucial role for him on English soil. His inclusion became even more important after Ravichandran Ashwin’s retirement from international cricket.
Kuldeep’s performance will be very significant as India enters a new phase in Test cricket. The squad is led by newly appointed Test captain Shubman Gill, with Rishabh Pant serving as vice-captain. This tour marks a bold step for Indian cricket, with a young side taking on a strong England team at their home. The Indian veterans Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli rested their shoes from the longest format, and so the focus will be on how the next generation handles the Three Lions.
