Texas Super Kings' skipper, Faf du Plessis, reflected on his passion for the game after notching up his second ton in Match 21 of the ongoing edition of Major League Cricket against MI New York. du Plessis' 103-run knock came off just 53 deliveries.

The top-order batter expressed his emotions post the game and felt that his side had well and truly exceeded the par score on a little tricky deck at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.

"I think we got a good start in the first six overs, but the wicket slowed down a bit. Anything about 185 was good but to get 200+ was unbelievable. The drive inside me is pretty big to keep performing while I am playing. I have this fear of not living up to my full potential. So, trying to squeeze every bit of it and use my potential," stated du Plessis while speaking during the post-match presentation.

He also shed light on why the eventual Player of the Match, Akeal Hosein, did not open the bowling like he usually does in majority of the T20s he has played.

"Akeal was going to open but we had a sneaky suspicion that they might do that (open with Pooran). Our two lefties (Zia and Burger) were happy to have a crack ay Nicky P. Dangerous player once he gets going. We started with the first three games here at home not playing the right style of cricket. Credit to everyone for putting their hand up. We've got a new venue so got to assess the conditions and pick a side accordingly," added du Plessis.
