Star Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has framed his idol and batting stalwart Virat Kohli’s last Test match jersey at his Hyderabad home.

Kohli retired from Test cricket in May this year. His final Test match was in Sydney during the fifth Test of the 2024–25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In that match, both teams wore pink-themed jerseys to support the McGrath Foundation’s cancer awareness initiative. Notably, Siraj’s framed jersey has been signed by the legendary batter himself.

Siraj and Kohli are known to share a good bond from their days together at Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), where Kohli first backed the young pacer. After consistent performances in the IPL, Siraj went on to become one of India’s most reliable fast bowlers in all formats. Meanwhile, in the viral pic, Siraj was seen casually sitting on a couch along with his friend, who was on his laptop. However, the framed jersey on the wall beside the pacer's potrait grabbed significant attention and has gone viral since.

Recently, Siraj was India's hero during their historic six-run victory over England in the fifth Test at The Oval. Defending just 35 runs on the final day, the pacer ran through England’s lower order by taking 5 wickets in the innings and 9 in the match. His efforts earned him the Player of the Match award and helped India level the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series 2-2.

Extremely happy for Siraj: Virat Kohli

Notably, Siraj led the pace attack in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, finishing as the series’ leading wicket-taker with 23 scalps. Kohli, who was following the match closely, praised Siraj for his efforts.

"Great win by Team India. Resilience and determination from Siraj and Prasidh have given us this phenomenal victory. Special mention to Siraj who will put everything on the line for the team. Extremely happy for him," he wrote on X.
