Arshdeep Singh created a hilarious post-match moment with opening batter Sanju Samson after India's magnificent triumph at the T20 World Cup 2026. Samson had been going in and out of the team before finally finding his spot towards the fag end of the tournament. The wicketkeeper-batter did not disappoint at all and played three match-winning knocks to create an instant impact in must-win matches for his side.

A section of Samson's fans on the internet keep calling for "Justice for Sanju Samson" to make sure that the Kerala cricketer gets his due from the Indian team. After he became the Player of the Tournament for his brilliance at the top, Arshdeep said that justice has finally been done. "Paaji, justice mil gaya," Arshdeep said in a video alongside Samson.

Notably, Samson played five matches for India in the twenty-team tournament, smashing a staggering 321 runs, which includes three match-winning half-centuries. Samson was not the first-choice opener coming into the tournament, but once he settled in, it was all about putting his perspective into practice. The 31-year-old also thanked the almighty for blessing him throughout.

"Feels like a dream. Very happy and grateful. Out of words, out of emotions. To be honest, it started one-two years before. When I was in the 2024 World Cup team where I didn't play, I kept visualising and kept on working and this was exactly what I wanted to do. After the NZ series I was broken, my dreams were completely shattered. And I was thinking what can I do. But God had different plans. And I was rewarded for being brave enough to dream," Samson said at the post-match ceremony.

Notably, Samson's unmissable contributions helped India break several records with their victory. Now, they not only are the first team to defend their title but have also become the first to win a T20 World Cup at home. The Men in Blue are also the team with the most wins in the history of the T20 World Cup, with titles in 2007, 2024, and 2026.
