Cameron Green cut a frustrated figure following his dismissal off Usman Tariq’s bowling during the second T20I of the three-match series against Pakistan on January 31 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Green had been Australia’s lone bright spot, scoring 35 off 20 balls, before falling in the 11th over of the chase.

On the final delivery of the 11th over, Tariq cleverly paused in his run-up before delivering a fullish ball with a low release. Green attempted to clear mid-off but only managed to slice the ball off the outer edge. Shadab Khan, stationed at backward point, completed a straightforward catch to end Green’s resistance.

As he walked back to the pavilion, Green appeared unhappy with his dismissal and was seen imitating Tariq’s bowling action. Near the dugout, he continued to demonstrate the delivery to his teammates, clearly expressing his frustration at how he had been deceived by the variation.
