Police nabs notorious teenagers in Prestwich for allegedly possessing bladed article and cricket bat for robbery

Three teenagers have been arrested after they carried out an atrocious robbery last Friday night in Prestwich where they had allegedly made use of a bladed article as well as a cricket bat. The reports claim that the cops were alerted immediately at midnight when group of males in a parked vehicle were attacked.
People seated in the vehicle were then attacked by another group after which an incident of robbery occurred. However, the police reached the spot and nabbed the culprits. According to the police officials, they have recovered the laughing gas nearby which happens to be canisters of nitrous oxide.
Apart from that, the cops have also nabbed three male teenagers. While two of them were 18 years of age, the third person arrested is 17. The trio has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.
Attackers used cricket bat as weapon
As per a police report, there are no cases of any serious injuries. The incident was reported to the cops by the eyewitnesses who complained to the Greater Manchester Police (GMP). At the same time, they were also suspicious that the attackers had a bladed article and a cricket bat as weapons in their possession.
"This was a violent robbery that will understandably cause concern in our local community. Fortunately no one was seriously injured and I am pleased that quick work by Bury Response officers saw three males apprehended and arrested,” said Sergeant Christian Allanson of GMP Bury South Neighbourhood Policing Team said as quoted by Bury Times.
At the same time, Sergeant Christian Allanson has also assured that the enquiries are in progress to trace the miscreants who had fled from the scene and the local community will be under the protection of deployed uninformed patrols.
"Enquiries are ongoing to trace offenders who fled the scene but I would like to reassure the local community that we have deployed extra uniformed patrols to the area to conduct enquires as well as to offer support and reassurance," he added.
