The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have unveiled a six-point manifesto in response to the tragic Bengaluru stampede that took place in June. Through RCB Cares, the franchiseโs social initiative wing, the team has pledged to take six concrete actions aimed at providing long-term and meaningful support to those affected.
This announcement comes shortly after RCB extended financial assistance of INR 25 lakh to each of the bereaved families. With the new manifesto, the franchise has further committed to honouring those who lost their lives and ensuring their legacy is carried forward through impactful, on-ground initiatives.

The IPL 2025 victory celebrations for RCB began with joy but turned tragic on June 4, when a stampede near the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium claimed 11 lives and left many injured. RCB had planned a fan celebration a day after their maiden title win against Punjab Kings, ending an 18-year wait.
Although authorities denied permission for an open-top bus parade from Vidhana Soudha to the stadium, more than two lakh fans gathered in the area to see their team following RCB's social media announcement. Entry into the stadium was restricted to pass holders, forcing many to wait outside. A temporary slab over a drain near the venue collapsed under crowd pressure, triggering panic and a deadly stampede.
