England are in dire straits in the ongoing Ashes after losing the first couple of Tests. They cannot afford any further slip-ups as anything less than a win in any of the remaining three games will mean that Australia will retain the prestigious Ashes urn.
On Day 2, the experienced Stuart Broad dismissed David Warner for the 17th time in Test cricket as social media went into frenzy. Many memes also emerged after the event but one among the lot had the world talking.
Chris Broad, the father of Stuart and an experienced match referee, took a sly dig at the Aussie opener by posting a meme on Twitter, which was also shared by England's Barmy Army. In the meme, Warner was portrayed as anitmated American sitcom The Simpsons' character Bart Simpson, writing “Stuart Broad has got me out again” over and over on a blackboard in detention.
This caused a serious furore on social media and the International Cricket Council (ICC) stepped in to rebuke the former England cricketer. Broad would later go on to delete the tweet that landed him in hot water. ICC refrained from giving an official statement but as per a report from the Sydney Morning Herald, sources close to the governing body indicated that he had been told it was unbecoming of his role as a neutral match official.

Rain has a say on Day 3 of third Ashes Test
Rain was expected to have a telling effect on Day 3 of the third Ashes Test and so far, it has had its say. After the umpires called for lunch, on Day 3, positive news was expected to arrive ahead of the second session. However, it didn't come to fruition as relentless rainfall forced the umpires to call for an early tea break. The match is intriguingly poised as Australia are 116/4 with an overall second-innings lead of 142. The good thing is that there is still a lot of cricket left to play in the Test.
