Australia and Delhi Capitals batter Jake Fraser-McGurk announced himself on the grand stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a match-winning knock of 55 (35) against Lucknow Super Giants. The 22-year-old continued to bat with full freedom during Match 32 against Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad as he top-scored for his side in the 90-run chase.
Opening the innings for Delhi, the talented youngster got off the mark in style sending the first ball of the innings for a maximum against Sandeep Warrier. McGurk effortlessly launched the Gujarat Titans seamer over his head for a six leaving both the commentator Ravi Shastri and DC Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly.

Mukesh and Ishant ran through GT's batting
Earlier in the day, Mukesh Kumar (3/14, 2.3 overs), Ishant Sharma (2/8, 2 overs), and Tristan Stubbs (2/11, 1 over) ran through GT's batting to bundle them out for 89 in 17.3 overs. Rashid Khan was the lone warrior for the hosts with his innings of 31 (24) with the help of two fours and a six.
Following their win, DC climbed to the sixth spot on the points table with six wins from seven matches having six points to their name while Gujarat slipped to the seventh spot with six points from seven matches.
