Shubman Gill etched his name into Indian cricket history by going past Sunil Gavaskar to become the leading run-scorer as an Indian captain in a Test series. This feat occurred in the first session of Day 1 of the final Test of the ongoing series between England and India.
Gill did so by punching a back-of-a-length and wider delivery by Jamie Overton for a four through covers on the final ball of the 21st over of India's innings to register his second boundary of the morning, his second of Overton too.
