T20 World Cup Full Schedule 2026: Date, Time, Fixtures, Teams, Venue details announced

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the fixtures for the upcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place from February 7 to March 8, 2026. This much-anticipated event is set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

The high-voltage match between India and Pakistan is set to be played on February 16 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. This will be India's third match in Group A, which also features Namibia, the Netherlands, and the USA.

Defending champions India play their first group match against the USA in Mumbai on February 7, the opening day of the T20 World Cup. They then take on Namibia in Delhi on February 12, followed by Pakistan, and their final group game is against the Netherlands in Ahmedabad on February 18. Three matches will be held each day during the group stage of the 20-team competition.

If India advances beyond the group stage, their three matches in the Super Eight stage will be held in Ahmedabad, Chennai and Kolkata. If they make it to the knockouts, their semi-final will be in Mumbai. It is understood that the ICC has shortlisted Colombo or Kolkata as the other semi-final venue, depending on whether Sri Lanka and Pakistan qualify. The final will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, if Pakistan books a place in the summit clash, they will then face their opponents in Colombo.

Apart from hosts India and Sri Lanka, the other 18 teams participating in the T20 World Cup are Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, United States of America, West Indies, New Zealand, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, Italy, Netherlands, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Nepal, Oman and UAE.

Coming to the other groups, Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Zimbabwe, and Oman will be competing from Group B. England, the West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Italy are placed in Group C. Meanwhile, Group D comprises South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, the UAE, and Canada.

The format is the same as last year, with four groups being made, comprising five teams each. The top two teams from each group will make it to the Super Eight stage. The eight remaining teams will be divided into two groups. Two teams from each of these two groups will then make it to the semis.

Group A: India, Pakistan, USA, Netherlands, Namibia

Group B: Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Oman

Group C: England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Italy, Nepal

Group D: South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Canada, UAE
