Former India cricketer Suresh Raina believes that RCB could win their first IPL title in 2025. Ahead of the resumption of the 18th edition of the league, Raina claimed that the three-time finalists have been playing in a different league in the ongoing season and look destined to go all the way.

The former CSK player said RCB's bowling has been the key reason behind their success in IPL 2025. He addressed RCB beating CSK in both their matches under the leadership of Rajat Patidar and claimed it as a significant achievement. Notably, this is the first time in the league's history that RCB has done a double over CSK.

"There are strong chances because Royal Challengers Bengaluru is playing in a different league this year. They've defended scores like 150 and 136 at Chinnaswamy, and their bowling unit has stepped up. The new captain has beaten Chennai Super Kings twice-once in Chennai and again at home, which speaks volumes," Raina said on Star Sports.

Raina further added that the dressing room atmosphere in RCB seems positive and claimed it to be a sign of a team that can reach the distance. Raina acknowledged that likes of Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans, and Punjab Kings have been performing well but added that he feels this will be the year in which Kohli and RCB will end the 18-year drought.

"The dressing room is positive, and these are signs of a team that can go all the way. Yes, Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans, and Punjab Kings are also doing well, but this might finally be Virat's year to lift the trophy after 18 years," Raina added.

RCB will take on KKR in the 58th match of the IPL 2025, which is marked to resume the league after the temporary suspension forced due to India-Pakistan tensions. Meanwhile, the match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium could be affected by rain as per the weather forecast.
