India’s star batter Virat Kohli is in the form of his life and there are a lot of cricketers who look up to him for his advice. KL Rahul who was going through a lean patch in the T20 World Cup 2022 had a chat with Kohli in the net session and it proved to be quite effective. The Karnataka lad finally broke his shackles to hit a terrific half-century against Bangladesh after three failures and answered his critics in the best way possible.

Australia is a country where Kohli has thrived over the years and therefore, Rahul could not have had a better player than Kohli to go for advice at the moment and the two batters were spotted having a long discussion in nets before the game. After the Bangladesh game, Rahul revealed the conversation with Kohli which helped him regain form.

it's been more challenging than our previous Australia tour: KL Rahul

Rahul mentioned that the talk with Kohli was about how the Australian conditions have played so far and noted the difference from the previous tours. He further mentioned that the discussion went on about the ideal mindset needed out in the middle and added that he was willing to know how Kohli has been thinking in the middle.

"We were actually just discussing how Australian conditions have been a little different this time. We have come here before and played Test cricket and we expected the wickets to play in a certain way and that's not happened so far and it's been more challenging than our previous tour. We were just talking about that thing," Rahul was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

"We were discussing the mindset and what we can do in the middle. I was seeing if I can use something that he says in the middle, and if we can help each other. Those are the discussions that we all have as players. Obviously, he has been doing really well in the last few games and I was trying to understand his mindset and what he is thinking while he is in the middle. Just about that,” he added.
