Athiya Shetty, wife of KL Rahul and a popular Bollywood actress, cheered for her husband by taking to an Instagram story as she posted the story of an apparel store with his poster on it. The story seems to be from the United Kingdom, as Athiya is accompanying Rahul for the upcoming five-match series against England.

It seems that the actress was cruising on the streets of Leeds when the poster caught her attention. She was quick to grab a picture and post it on her Instagram story by tagging Rahul followed by a 'wave' and a 'hearty' emoji. The story quickly surfaced on the internet, with the netizens going gaga over the love portrayed by Athiya for his better half.

Notably, this is the first international series for KL Rahul after Athiya gave birth to her daughter. The couple named their adorable daughter Evaarah, and it seemed to have bought lady luck for the ace batter, as he had a stellar season with Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025, ending as their highest run-getter, which also included a century. After enjoying his time in the shortest format, the Karnataka-born will now be shifting his focus to Test cricket.

The experienced batter is leaving no stones unturned to be at his best for the important red-ball assignment against the Ben Stokes-led side. Before the start of the series, the star batter flew earlier than other players in the official squad and took part in India A's unofficial Tests against England Lions.

The 33-year-old opened the innings for India A and smashed a ton on his first very first innings in the tour. The knock helped him gain a lot of confidence, which also helped him to smoothly transition to red-ball cricket after playing a long season of white-ball cricket, which started with the series against England and ended with the IPL 2025.

In the second four-day fixture against England Lions, the right-handed batter scored 167 runs at a great average of 83.50. He also batted well in the Intra-squad match and continued his good run. Rahul has been one of the best batters for India in overseas tours in the recent past. He played a key role in India's tour of England in 2021, which was tied at 2-2. He played some crucial knocks during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as well, while shuffling at different batting positions.
