A blistering delivery by Jofra Archer brought about the end of Rishabh Pant early on on the fifth day of the third Test between England and India. Pant had to head back to the pavilion for nine off 12. The southpaw was the fifth wicket to fall for India in their run-chase of 193 at Lord's.
It was an absolute snorter from Archer, who came from around-the-wicket and got the ball nip in from a length. The ball went past the outside edge of Pant's bat and smashed into the top of off stump as Archer and his teammates went into absolute ecstacy.

Notably, the ongoing Lord's Test marks Archer's comeback to the red-ball setup after more than four years. A flurry of back and elbow injuries had left him out of the scene. Despite picking up just two wickets in India's first innings, his pace and accuracy was right on the money.
India were set a target of 193 to chase after the hosts were skittled out for 192 in their second innings. Washington Sundar was the star performer with the ball, ending up with excellent figures of 4/22 in 12.1 overs. His outing in the second innings came after a wicketless one in the first innings. England's centurion from the first innings, Joe Root, top-scored with 40 off 96.

It was a chaotic end to Day 4 when the visitors lost three wickets in the last half-an-hour of proceedings after losing Yashasvi Jaiswal early on for a seven-ball duck. Karun Nair (14 off 33), Shubman Gill (six off nine), and Akash Deep (one off 11) were the players who departed before Stumps were called.
