A fiery moment unfolded ahead of the second T20I between India and New Zealand in Raipur after senior all-rounder Hardik Pandya and former India spinner Murali Kartik were seen in a heated on-field discussion, with clips of the exchange quickly going viral on social media.
The cameras caught Hardik and Kartik engaging in an animated conversation near the boundary ropes. The interaction, which lasted several seconds, displayed the tense body language and expressive gestures from both Kartik and Pandya.
Hardik, while entering the field of play for the practice, had some words for the former left-arm spinner, with Kartik responding emphatically. Though neither of them reacted angrily, the intensity of their exchange was enough to grab attention, leading fans to speculate about the nature of the discussion. ‘Really enjoying what’s happening right now’ - Suryakumar Yadav on returning to form
India dominated the chase and took a crucial 2-0 lead in the five-match series. But the important thing was Suryakumar Yadav's return to form after a string of disappointing batting performances.
The right-hander was at his splendid best, scoring an unbeaten knock of 82 off 37 balls. Reflecting upon his knock, the 35-year-old had plenty to say.
“As I’ve said before, I was batting really well in the nets. Everything I did back home over the last two or three weeks helped. I got a good break to spend time with my family and friends, had good practice sessions, and I’m really enjoying what’s happening right now,” Suryakumar after the match.
