India drew first blood on Day 2 of the second Test against the West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi under bizarre circumstances. John Campbell, who was looking at ease against the Indian pacers, got out to Ravindra Jadeja in an unfortunate way.

This incident happened in the eighth over of the West Indies innings after India declared on 518/5. Jadeja, bowling his first over, tossed up a delivery just outside Campbell's off-stump. The southpaw nailed the slog sweep, but much to his dismay, the ball was caught by Sai Sudharsan at forward short leg, who was actually looking to take evasive action in order to protect himself from being hit.

The ball ricocheted off Sudharsan's knuckles on the right hand and settled in his left hand. Campbell was in utter disbelief, and so were the fans in attendance. While Sudharsan helped India get their first breakthrough in the Test match, he had to leave the field immediately afterwards to receive medical attention.

Campbell had to take the long walk back to the dressing room after scoring a 25-ball 10. He became Jadeja's 335th Test victim. The Saurashtra all-rounder is the fourth-highest wicket-taker for India in the longest format of the game.
