[WATCH]: PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer spotted watching Dhurandhar in cinema hall ahead of IPL 2026

The craze for Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandar: The Revenge’ has taken over the country, with fans filling theatres to catch what has become one of the most anticipated films in Bollywood. Fans in Mohali were treated to a surprise when Indian cricketer and Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer was spotted in a cinema hall to catch a screening of the film.

Shreyas Iyer was spotted entering the theatre by a fan while occupying his top row seat. On noticing the fan who had been recording, Iyer smiled and waved at the camera.

This comes a few days after Indian legend MS Dhoni was spotted at a famous local theatre in Chennai to watch the film. Fans also took note of the fact that star cricketer Virat Kohli had followed the director of the film, Aditya Dhar, on Instagram shortly before the release of the film on March 19. 

Iyer is set to lead the Punjab-based side for a second season after finishing runners-up in 2025. His team finished first in the league stage but narrowly missed out on the trophy, being beaten by a spirited Royal Challengers Bengaluru side in Ahmedabad on June 3. On a personal note, Iyer had an impeccable season, scoring 604 runs at a blistering strike rate of 175.07, as he was PBKS’ best batter of the season.

The spirited side are set to start their season against the Gujarat Titans on March 31, at the Maharaja Yadavindra International Cricket Stadium, New Chandigarh.
