Harrison Ward hung onto a spectacular catch to dismiss Chris Lynn during a South Group clash between Sussex and Hampshire in the 2025 edition of the Blast. Lynn was dismissed for 51 off 27, only a delivery after he brought up his half-century.
Lynn got hold of a slower delivery outside the off stump to club the ball with a flat bat. The ball was travelling fast to the fielder at cove, however, an acrobatic leap from Ward meant the ball was in his grasp while he was in the air as what seemed like a certain boundary turned out to be one of the catches of the season, leaving everyone from the commentators to the spectators present at the County Ground in Hove in awe. Ward was pumped up too as he hurled the ball skyward and roared in celebration.

Lynn's catch was not Ward's first one in the match as he had caught opposition skipper James Vince for 34 off 22 before that. Despite a fine time on the field, Ward could not replicate his performance with the bat as he was dismissed for a run-a-ball five in the very first over of the run-chase.

Sussex eventually fell well short of the target, losing by 62 runs. Apart from Nathan McAndrew (31* off 18), no other batter crossed the 20-run mark. McAndrew had a fine time with the ball too, securing a three-wicket haul (3/32 in four innings) in the first innings. Fourteen games in, Sussex ended their league phase with six wins, seven losses, and one no-result due to a washout.
