Mitchell Starc tore through West Indies' top-order by picking up three wickets in the first over of their run-chase in the third Test of the three-match series between West Indies and Australia. Starc's wickets came on the first, fifth, and sixth deliveries of West Indies' second innings' opening over on Day 3 of the game at Sabina Park.
His first three victims were John Campbell (zero off one), Kevlon Anderson (zero off four), and Brandon King (zero off one). Shortly after, he had already registered his five-wicket haul. Starc carved his name into the annals of cricketing history after picking up the quickest five-for (15 deliveries) in the history of the format.

It was a magnificent performance by the veteran fast bowler in his 100th game in the red-ball format. His second innings figures read 6/9 in 7.3 overs - his best innings figures in Tests. Four of the 7.3 overs were maidens.
Starc and Co. ensured West Indies were folded for paltry score of 27 in 14.3 overs. Scott Boland was instrumental in cleaning up the tail, with the seamer securing the first-ever hattrick in pink-ball Tests. West Indies' 27 is their lowest-ever Test total and the second-lowest innings total in the history of Test cricket.

Australia won the match by 176 runs., recording their biggest victory by margin of runs. This came after they won the first and second Tests by 159 and 133 runs, respectively. Their next red-ball assignment will be against England at home. The highly-anticipated five-match Test series is scheduled to get underway on November 21 later this year.
