The Pakistan Champions have refused to share points with their arch-rivals, the India Champions, after their scheduled match was called off due to the Indian players withdrawing from the fixture. The Indian players opted out in light of the strained relations with their neighbour.
Sources from the World Championship of Legends (WCL) on Monday stated that the tournament organisers have informed the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) that the match could not be held due to circumstances beyond the control of the Indian team, and that no fault lies with them.
"WCL have conveyed to the England and Wales Cricket Board that they, as organisers, were not able to conduct this match. The India Champions team are not at fault. Pakistan Champions team are not willing to share points because they are saying that it is India who backed out, not them," said WCL sources as quoted by NDTV Sports.

Several Indian players, including Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan, also informed that they would not be participating in the India-Pakistan fixture. Sources indicate that other members of the India squad have taken a similar stance, leading to the eventual cancellation of the match.
"Jo kadam 11 May ko liya, uspe aaj bhi waise hi khada hoon. Mera desh mere liye sab kuch hai, aur desh se badhkar kuch nahi hota. (I stand by the decision I took on May 11. My country is everything for me and nothing is bigger than the country)," said Dhawan on X.
Currently, the Pakistan Champions sit at the top of the WCL 2025 points table with three points, while the India Champions are placed fourth with one point. In the previous edition of the tournament, the India Champions had the upper hand, defeating the Pakistan Champions by five wickets in the final.
Meanwhile, India Champions will take on South Africa Champions as their next assignment on July 22 in Northampton, and Pakistan Champions will face off South Africa Champions on July 25.
