Hayley Matthews has been ruled out of the Women's Caribbean Premier League 2025 due to a shoulder injury. No replacement has been declared by Barbados Royals Women so far. Chinelle Henry will lead the side.

Matthews has been instrumental for the Royals in the WCPL and is the tournament's leading run-getter with 424 runs at a strike rate of 113.06. She also leads the WCPL bowling charts with 23 wickets in 13 matches at an economy rate of 5.79.

Speaking of Matthews' injury, she picked it up during West Indies women's tour of England. She skipped the Women's Big Bash League due to her surgery. Matthews was Melbourne Renegades Women's pre-draft pick but opted out of WBBL draft. Later, she played the home series against South Africa and The Hundred Women's.
