Team United States of America (USA) is all set to continue their ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 campaign by taking on Team India (IND). Both sides will lock horns at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, in the 25th game of the tournament on Wednesday, June 12.
It is worth noting that the USA is currently unbeaten in the tournament, just like India. As the game against the Men in Blue approached, several cricketers from USA squad came forward to talk about how excited they were to face India. The side’s rising pace star, Saurabh Netravalkar, came forward to talk about how if the USA plays their best game, they can compete against any side in world cricket, not just India.
“If we play our best game, we can compete against top cricketers. We try to take one game at a time and not get overwhelmed by the star studded players and try to bowl the batters and bat against the bowlers. We try to keep it simple,” Netravalkar said in a video shared by Star Sports.

It’s unreal: Monank Patel
Furthermore, USA’s skipper, Monank Patel, talked about how standing next to the likes of Rohit Sharma and many other Indian greats is an unreal feeling. He also stated that the clash will always be a high pressure game and that they won't be changing the brand of cricket that they have played.
“You dream about these kind of things and you see yourself with Rohit Sharma on the toss time, its unreal. It will be a high pressure game and we do not want to focus too much right now and we want to play the brand of cricket that we have always played,” USA skipper Patel said.
Currently, India occupy the first place in the group standings with four points in two matches. Whereas, the USA occupy second place in the standings with the same amount of points but are second due to net run rate.
