Legendary Indian captain MS Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi Singh Dhoni, celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on July 4, 2025. The couple marked the occasion with a simple and rare social media post from Sakshi that went viral. Sharing an unseen picture of the couple holding hands, Sakshi wrote, “We made a promise! Onto 16th.”

MS Dhoni and Sakshi Rawat tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2010 in Dehradun. The wedding remained a closely guarded affair, known to only a few, until the news broke after the celebration. They became parents to daughter Ziva in 2015, and while Dhoni has stayed away from social media, Sakshi occasionally shares moments from their life in Ranchi,

As the couple celebrated another milestone in their marriage, MS Dhoni continued to be a big name in Indian cricket conversations, despite retiring from international cricket in August 2020. The former India captain led the team to the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup, and 2013 Champions Trophy, and is the only captain to do so.

Will MS Dhoni feature in IPL 2026?

Meanwhile, Dhoni was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame earlier this year. In IPL 2025, Dhoni returned to lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out due to injury. Although the season did not go as planned for CSK, as they finished at the bottom of the table. Notably, many fans and ex-cricketers speculated about Dhoni's potential future in IPL after the 2025 season; he has yet to confirm any decision publicly.

"It depends. Again, I would say the same thing: I have four-five months to decide, there's no hurry to decide what needs to be done. Every year, it's 15% more effort to keep the body fit - not to forget this is top-level cricket. It's professional cricket - you have to be at your best - and it's not always performance that you can count, because if cricketers start retiring because of performance, then a few of them will retire when they're 22," said MS.
"What is important to see is how much hunger you have, what kind of fitness you have, and how much you can contribute to the team, and whether the team needs you or not. So I have enough time. I will go back to Ranchi - haven't been home for a long time - enjoy a few bike rides, [take a] couple of months and then decide. I'm not saying I'm done, I'm not saying I'm coming back. As I said, I have the luxury of time. When you have the luxury then why not think about it and then decide," MS added.
