The West Indies Cricket Board has announced their squad for the T20I series against England and Ireland, respectively. Some of the senior players like Andre Russell and Jason Holder will return to the side following their absence since 2024. While Russell suffered an ankle injury and was ruled out of the series against England in November 2024, Holder had been out of the side since February 2024.

In the absence of the seniors, WI suffered a lot, including a clean sweep at home against Bangladesh, which led to the sacking of Rovman Powell from captaincy. Shai Hope has been named the new T20I captain of the two-time world champions. Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran has opted himself out of the series, wishing to get rest following a hectic schedule in the IPL 2025.

The current European tour of the Caribbean giants started with the ODI series against Ireland, and will end with the T20I series against the same. Following the end of the ODI series against England, the Men in Maroon will continue the tour by playing a T20I series of three matches, which will start their preparation for the T20 World Cup 2026.
