In the 11th encounter of the 2024 Women's Premier League, the UP Warriorz Women faced off against the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women at Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, opting to field after winning the toss.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore had a strong start, with Sabbhineni Meghana and Smriti Mandhana amassing 51 runs in the initial five overs. Mandhana's impressive performance led to a substantial 80-run contribution, and a 95-run partnership with Ellyse Perry propelled them to a challenging total of 198 for three.
Despite Healey's valiant effort, UP fell short by 23 runs, with RCB's Sobhana, Devine, Molineux, and Wareham securing two wickets each.
Chasing a tough target of 199, UP started well with Healey and Navgire adding 47 in four overs. However, after Navgire's exit, Healey fought valiantly but lacked support. She scored 55, but UP fell short by 23 runs, giving Royal Challengers Bangalore the win by 23 runs.
