The second edition of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final between Australia and India got underway at The Oval in London on Wednesday, June 7. However, the 36-year-old, who scored 43 off 60 deliveries, was removed by Shardul Thakur after the lunch break.

He reached the three-figure mark with the help of 106 balls. Smith, on the other hand, scored a half-century as Australia posted 327/3 in 85 overs at stumps on Day 1.

On Day 2, Siraj provided an early breakthrough for India, dismissing Head. The 29-year-old played a remarkable innings in the WTC final, scoring 163 in just 174 deliveries and also producing a 408-ball 285 runs partnership with Smith.
