Rishabh Pant was among the key contributors in India's second innings, scoring 66 off 69 balls, while Devdutt Padikkal added 44, building on his 167 in the first essay. Sri Lanka's pace attack offered some resistance: Asitha Fernando took 4 for 31 in India's second innings, the best figures by a Sri Lanka fast bowler at home since Suranga Lakmal's 4 for 29 in 2019.
