Star cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal had given divorce to Dhanashree Verma on March 20, 2025, as the couple separated on like terms from their married life of almost four years. At the court hearing, when the divorce was granted by the judges, Chahal has seen wearing a T-shirt that read 'Be Your Own Sugar Daddy'. The cricketer has recently revealed his intention behind the same.
In a recent interaction, the 35-year-old said that he did not intend to do any drama, but simply wanted to pass on a message, which his outfit helped him to. He added that certain external events leading up to the final court appearance was what triggered him into wearing that T-shirt no matter what.
"I didn't want to do any drama. I just wanted to give one message, which I gave [through the T-shirt]. Something happened from the other side, and I didn't initially intend to respond. But then something happened again, and I thought, 'Enough is enough, now I don't care about anyone.' I didn't abuse anyone; I just wanted to convey my message," he revealed on Figuring Out with Raj Shamani podcast.

He also spoke candidly about managing to 'sign a good deal' when it came to paying Dhanashree the alimony sum. He did not really go into detail in relation to the same topic.
