The stage is all set as the United Arab Emirates and India will be up against each other for the Match No. 2 of the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 on Wednesday, September 10 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. This will be the first match of the season for both the sides.
The Men in Blue will be playing this contest with a star-studded line-up from their 15-man squad, led by Suryakumar Yadav. The experienced campaigner will be hoping to lead his troops to a winning start in this edition of the competition, as they will be entering the 2025 season as the defending champions, having won in 2023 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. While Rohit has retired from the format now, Suryakumar will be hoping to build on the success of his preceding skipper.
The United Arab Emirates, on the other hand, will be playing this match at their home venue, not as hosts, though, as the Indians have the hosting rights. While Dubai has been a happy hunting ground for the Muhammad Waseem-led side, they will receive a tough challenge from the Indian outfit, as the latter are currently the reigning T20 World Cup champions with a supreme mixture of youth and experience in their unit.

Pitch Report
The pitch at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium favours the teams batting first. A target above 180 is considered to be a par first-inning's total at this venue, and something similar is expected when India and UAE cross swords in this upcoming contest. The surface is expected to be on the drier side, and batting will get difficult as the match progresses. Spinners will come in handy right from the second half of the first innings. The captain winning the toss should be thinking to bat first.
