England will look to complete a whitewash of the West Indies when the two teams square off in the third and final ODI at The Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton on Saturday, June 7.

It has been one-way traffic in the West Indies' tour of England thus far. After losing the three-match series 0-3, the tourists have been outclassed in the first two ODIs. Apart from the third T20I, the home side has not been under any sort of pressure.

The first ODI was won by Nat Sciver-Brunt and Co. by 108 runs in Derby. The hosts followed it up with a 143-run win in the second game in Leicester. Openers Tammy Beaumont and wicketkeeper-batter Amy Jones have scored fluent centuries in both games. The latter has won the Player of the Match award in both games.

England batted first in both matches and registered scores of 345/6 and 366/6, respectively. The West Indies failed to bat 50 overs in both games, getting dismissed for 237 and 223 in the first and second ODIs, respectively.

All the England bowlers have done well, but left-arm spinner Linsey Smith deserves a special mention. The 30-year-old has picked up seven wickets from two matches at an average of nine. This included a five-for in the first ODI.

For the West Indies, Afy Fletcher and Aaliyah Alleyne have accounted for three wickets in two games each. However, they have conceded runs at economy rates of 6.83 and 8.08, respectively.

In the batting department, Qiana Joseph and Realeanna Grimmond have scored one half-century each. Hayley Matthews might miss this match as well, after suffering a shoulder injury in the first ODI. Her presence will be crucial for the West Indies as they look to salvage some pride to end the England tour.

Pitch Report

The Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton has hosted 23 Women's ODI matches so far. Chasing teams have won 16 matches, while teams batting first have only emerged victorious in six encounters. Only one game ended without a result. The average first-innings total is 214. The captain who wins the toss would want to bowl first, keeping the previous record at this venue in mind. However, the West Indies wouldn't mind batting first to try something different.

There is a high possibility of rain in Taunton on Saturday. Fans would hope that the rain stays away to help the two teams get some more practice, especially with the ODI World Cup coming up in September.

Head-to-Head record

England and the West Indies played each other in an ODI for the first time in 1979. Both teams have faced each other 28 times in ODIs. England has an edge with 20 wins, while the Caribbean side has six victories. Two of their matches ended without a result.
