The three-match ODI series between India Women and Australia Women is all set to be decided with the third and final ODI at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, September 20. The first two matches of the series were played in New Chandigarh.

The series so far has been marked by contrasting performances from both teams. The touring team chased down the 281-run total with utmost of ease in the first game as Phoebe Litchfield (88 off 80) laid the foundation before an unbeaten 116-run stand between Beth Mooney (77* off 74) and Annabel Sutherland (54* off 51) got them past the finish line with eight wickets and 35 balls to spare.

The second game was all about the dominance displayed by the hosts, as a stellar 91-ball 117 from Smriti Mandhana set the tone for the Indians in an otherwise underwhelming display with the bat. India were eventually bundled out for 292 in 49.5 overs. Kranti Goud (3/28 in 9.5 overs) led the way in the second innings as the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side registered a record 102-run win to level the series.

Pitch Report

The pitch in Delhi is not expected to behave much differently from the deck in New Chandigarh. In fact, batting is expected to be relatively easier due to the flat nature of the pitch. Fast bowlers are expected to get some help with the new ball while spinners will come into play once the ball gets old and soft.
