Team India will play an intra-squad four-day match ahead of their five-match Test series against England, which begins on June 20 at Headingley. The match will be held from June 13 to June 16 at the Kent County Cricket Ground in Beckenham, featuring a mix of players from the senior men’s squad and the India A squad to help assess form in red-ball cricket. Shubman Gill will lead the Indian Test team for the first time ahead of the England series.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Kumar Reddy also chipped in with a fifty each during the series. From the bowling department, Shardul Thakur, who is part of the senior squad, bowled a few decent spells, although he was not effective.
