Royal Challengers Bengaluru will look to do the double over Chennai Super Kings when they take on the five-time champions at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, May 3, in Match No. 52 of the Indian Premier League 2025.

These two teams met earlier in the season at Chepauk, where the visiting skipper Rajat Patidar led from the front with an exhilarating half-century as RCB posted 196/7 in their 20 overs. In reply, CSK could only manage 146-8. Josh Hazlewood starred with the ball, finishing with figures of 3/21.

Since then, RCB and CSK have gone in different directions. The Bengaluru-based franchise have seven wins and three losses from 10 games. They are positioned at No. 2 on the IPL 2025 points table.

Meanwhile, Chennai is the first team to get eliminated in IPL 2025. The Men in Yellow lost eight out of the 10 games they have played so far. They are currently on a three-match losing streak. CSK cannot make it to the playoffs, but will want to make the road difficult for their arch-rivals, whom they lost to in a crucial fixture last season, to get knocked out of the competition at the same venue.

Pitch Report

The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, has traditionally been a batting paradise, but the same cannot be said for this season. Batting hasn't been as easy, with some balls stopping on the batters in most of the games. The average first-innings score this season has been 179 in the three 20-over contests that have been played. Winning the toss and bowling first is the better option at this venue, especially because dew could be a huge factor in the second innings.

Head-to-Head Record

RCB and CSK have played 34 matches against each other so far, with the former winning 12 and the latter 21. One game ended without a result
