Los Angeles Waves CC secured a convincing win over Houston Generals CC by 32 runs in Qualifier 2 on October 13 at the University of Texas, Dallas, setting up a final clash against Dallas Lonestars CC on October 14. Los Angeles Waves CC defeated Atlanta Kings CC in the Eliminator to enter the match, while Houston Generals CC lost Qualifier 1 against Dallas Lonestars CC to play Qualifier 2.

Los Angeles Waves CC posted a competitive total of 105/6 in their allotted 10 overs. The innings got off to a brisk start with openers George Munsey and Ali Nadeem. Nadeem contributed a quick 12 off 6 deliveries before falling, leaving Munsey to take charge alongside Sheldon Jackson. Munsey produced a fireworks-laden knock of 32 runs from just 11 balls, featuring three fours and as many sixes, giving his team a significant momentum boost.

After Munsey’s dismissal, Los Angeles Waves CC experienced a mini collapse as Shehan Fernando (4), Oliver Davidson (13), and Sagar P Patel (7) fell cheaply, unable to maintain the scoring rate. Jackson, however, remained composed at the other end, finishing unbeaten on 31 from 24 balls and guiding the team past the 100-run mark. While Houston Generals CC bowlers shared the workload, none managed to deliver a match-defining spell, though they kept things tight at crucial moments.

Chasing 106 for victory, Houston Generals CC struggled from the outset, losing wickets at regular intervals. Kennar Lewis top-scored with a quickfire 18 from 10 balls, while Chandrapaul Hemraj added 15 from 11 deliveries. Pargat Singh’s unbeaten 11 at the end provided some resistance, but no other batters could offer significant contributions, leaving the team tottering at 73/7 after 10 overs.

In the bowling department, Los Angeles Waves CC received excellent support from Amshi de Silva, who claimed 2/7, and Shehan Fernando, who finished with figures of 2/9. Their disciplined spells, combined with valuable contributions from the other bowlers, ensured Houston Generals CC never got close to the target.
