The second T20I of the ongoing five-match series between England Women and India Women marked a special occasion for Smriti Mandhana as she became only the third Indian to represent the nation in 150 T20Is after Rohit Sharma and Harmanpreet Kaur.
The left-handed batter, who started off her T20I career in April 2013, has established herself as one of the top cricketers in the women's game. In the 150 T20Is she has played so far, Mandhana has registered 3886 runs at a strike rate of 124.31, including a century, which came in the series opener of the current.
List of Indians having played 150 T20Is (as of July 2, 2025):
Player | Matches | Runs | Fifties | Hundreds |
Harmanpreet Kaur | 179 | 3590 | 14 | 1 |
Rohit Sharma | 159 | 4231 | 32 | 5 |
Smriti Mandhana | 150 | 3886 | 30 | 1 |
While Rohit retired from the shortest format following the men's team title-winning campaign at the 2024 T20 World Cup last year, Smriti and Harmanpreet have an opportunity to further add many more appearances against their name.
Speaking of Mandhana's 150th T20I, it was not the best one for her with the bat as she was dismissed for a run-a-ball 13. On the field, she was involved in a run-out to dismiss Sophia Ecclestone on the final ball of the game.
Amanjot Kaur from India secured the Player of the Match award for her all-round services, as she scored 63 off 41 with the bat and claimed 1/28 in three overs with the ball. Jemimah Rodrigues (63 off 41) and Shree Charani (2/28) were the other standout performers for the Women in Blue.
