With two victories in two games, a confident-looking team India now faces South Africa in Match 30 of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 on October 30 at the Perth Stadium. Rohit Sharma’s side defeated arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening encounter and then brushed aside the Netherlands in Sydney to make it two straight wins. The Proteas suffered an unfortunate result when their opening game with Zimbabwe ending in no result. Rilee Rossouw then led his side to a commanding win against Bangladesh with his spectacular century.
Speaking about team India’s performances in the tournament so far, man-in-form and run machine Virat Kohli has struck half-centuries in both encounters. Skipper Rohit and Suryakumar Yadav also managed to hit the fifties against the Dutch with the only concern being the form of KL Rahul, who has two single-digit scores to his name. Pacer Arshdeep Singh is leading the wicket chart with five scalps to his name.
Rossouw, who has now hit a hundred in consecutive innings will again be the trump card for the Proteas, especially with skipper Temba Bavuma failing miserably in the format. Experienced left-handers Quinton de Kock and David Miller will also look to shoulder the responsibility for the Rainbow nation while seamers Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje raring to go at the Perth surface. Both sides meet in an exciting contest as the T20 WC gears up to witness a Super Sunday.
