Coming jubilantly off a three-match winning streak, Lucknow Super Giants have now lost two matches in a row and find themselves fifth on the points after having won three of their six matches.

After being sent in by Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens, LSG skipper KL Rahul (39 off 27) tried to go hard with the bat, but the wickets just fell like nine-pins around him with three players from LSG's top five falling for 10 runs or less. Ayush Badoni (29 off 27)'s slow knock did not help either. The onus once again fell to Nicholas Pooran (45 off 32) to push LSG past a talismanic 160.

Mohsin Khan (2 for 29) did remove both Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi early in the chase, but Player of the Match Phil Salt (89* off 47) and KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer (38* off 38) ensured that KKR chased down the 162 with 26 balls to spare.

Here are all the stats and records achieved from the match:

5 - KL Rahul became the fifth Indian player to hit 300 sixes in T20 cricket. Before him, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina had reached the milestone.

1 - Phil Salt and Shreyas Iyer's unbeaten partnership of 120 runs is the highest ever for KKR for the third wicket. The previous record was 111 set by Saurav Ganguly and Cheteshwar Pujara against Rajasthan Royals in 2010.

2 - The partnership between Phil Salt and Shreyas Iyer is so far the second-highest for any wicket against LSG, Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha had put up 142 for the opening wicket at Ahmedabad in 2023.

2 - After having won 13 without losing any, LSG have now lost 2 matches in a row while defending a target of 160 or more.

4 - In 20 attempts, this was only the fourth time that a target was successfully chased against LSG in the IPL.
