Mumbai Indians will play their 3rd match of IPL 2024 with their back against the wall. The game on Monday will witness the five-time champions take on Rajasthan Royals at home. The visitors led by Sanju Samson have won both their opening contests of the season so far.

7th best all-round show by a single player in IPL history

During the IPL 2012 Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals game, Kieron Pollard wrote his name into the history books. The former West Indian star became one of few players to score a fifty and pick more than three wickets in the same game.

Pollard first top-scored with the bat scoring 64 runs from 33 balls to help MI score 197. Then with the ball, he got the big wicket of Ajinkya Rahane before mopping off the middle and late order of RR’s batting. This made Kieron Pollard the 7th best all-round show by a player in IPL history.

Ishan Kishan joins a unique wicketkeeper list

Mumbai Indians wicketkeeper and batter Ishan Kishan to join a special list of IPL records. The youngster first took three catches and then scored an unbeaten 25-ball 50 to help his side win a key clash by 8 wickets with 11.4 overs left to play. This made him the 12th wicketkeeper and batter to score a fifty and pick 3 catches in the same game.
