In a dominant performance in Ahmedabad, Australia won their sixth title by six wickets against one of the best teams of the tournament, India, in the final match of the World Cup. The victory was powered by a brilliant bowling performance from Mitchell Starc, who took crucial wickets, supported by a very good spell from Pat Cummins. In the batting department, Travis Head scored a century, and Marnus Labuschagne added a slow-steady half-century, helping to seal the match by six wickets.

Speaking about the final game, the Kangaroos' captain won the toss and elected to bowl first. Rohit provided a good start, but in the fifth over, Gill lost his wicket to Starc for the third time in a total of four innings. After that, Rohit was in the mood again, dealing with boundaries, but Maxwell dismissed Rohit on 47. Shreyas Iyer departed early for just four. Following that, Kohli and Rahul built a slow but solid partnership of 67 runs. Pat Cummins bowled out Kohli for 54 runs. Jadeja also fell quickly, scoring only nine runs. Starc returned to pick up Rahul's wicket, and Rahul departed after scoring 66 runs. In the last, Surya scored 18 runs, contributing to a good total of 240 runs. In bowling, Starc took three wickets, and Hazlewood and Cummins picked up two wickets each.

In Australia's batting, they also lost three wickets at 47 runs. Shami provided the first breakthrough, dismissing Warner for only seven runs. Then Bumrah struck, picking up two wickets of Marsh and Smith, who scored 15 runs and four runs, respectively. After that, Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne built a very big partnership of 192 runs, establishing the winning cause for Australia. In the end, Maxwell hit the winning shot and ran two.  For his outstanding hundred in the final, Travis Head won the Player of the Match award.

In the Men in Blue team, all the players gave their best in this tournament from Rohit to Kohli to Shami, including every one of the 15 members of the team, along with support staff and coaching staff. One bad day did not change their dedication and hard work throughout the process from the first league match to the semi-final, winning 10 out of 10 matches. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma broke many records in this tournament. For his outstanding performance throughout the tournament, almost in every match, Virat Kohli won the Player of the Tournament award.

3 - Shubman Gill has been dismissed three times in a total of four innings against Mitchell Starc in ODIs. He has scored 38 runs off 45 balls against Starc, with all three dismissals occurring within the first 15 overs.

1523- Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill registered the second most partnership runs in a calendar year in                       ODIs. The most by Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly is 1635 runs in 1998.

597- Rohit Sharma scored the most runs by a captain in a World Cup edition surpassing Kane Williamson (578) in 2019.

87 - Rohit Sharma hit the most sixes against an opponent (i.e., Australia) in ODIs surpassing Chris Gayle (85) against England.

597- Rohit Sharma scored 597 runs in 11 innings with an average of 54.27 and a strike rate of 125.94. This remarkable performance includes one century, three half-centuries, and a total of 31 sixes in a single edition.

765- Virat Kohli (765) scored 765 runs with an average of 95.62 and a strike rate of 90.31. This remarkable performance includes three centuries and six half-centuries.

12 - Virat Kohli (12) scored second most half-centuries in ODI World Cups surpassing Shakib Al Hasan (11).             The most by Sachin Tendulkar (15).

1795 - Virat Kohli(1795) scored the second most runs in ODI World Cup history surpassing Ricky Ponting(1743).             The most by Sachin Tendulkar(2278).

5 - Virat Kohli (5) achieved the feat of scoring five consecutive 50+ scores in a World Cup for the second time, with the first instance occurring in 2019. Additionally, Steven Smith became the second batsman to accomplish this feat, marking a notable achievement in his World Cup performances.

334 - Virat Kohli(334) scored most runs in ICC finals surpassed Kumar Sangakkara(320).

95.62 - Virat Kohli registered the second-highest average in a single edition of the World Cup (minimum-500 runs). The most by Kumar Sangakkara was 108.20 in 2015.

765 - Virat Kohli scored the most runs in the World Cup edition.

23 - Adam Zampa as spinner picked up the joint most wickets in the single edition of the World Cup with Muthiah                 Muralidaran. 

61.68 - KL Rahul has the lowest strike rate in an innings in World Cup 2023 (min. 50 runs).

3/55 - Mitchell Starc registered his best bowling figure in the ODI World Cup finals. The previous one was 2/20             vs NZ Melbourne in 2015.

104 - Suryakumar Yadav has amassed only 104 runs in his seven innings in the ODI World Cup, maintaining a                    poor average of 20.80.

7- Travis Head is the seventh player who scored a century in the ODI World Cup finals. The others are:
