In a dominant performance in Pune, India secured a 7-wicket victory over Bangladesh, with Jasprit Bumrah delivering an outstanding bowling display and Ravindra Jadeja maintaining an excellent economy. After the bowlers set the stage, Virat Kohli notched a well-deserved century, while Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill also reached the milestone of half-centuries, guiding India to achieve the target successfully.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Bangla Tigers got off to a strong start in the opening partnership, with power-hitting from Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan. Both openers accumulated 93 runs in 14.4 overs. Kuldeep Yadav delivered the first blow to Bangladesh, dismissing Tanzid Hasan for 51 runs. Virat Kohli, in a splendid display, smashed his 48th ODI century and remained unbeaten on 103 runs in 97 balls, with 6 fours and 4 sixes, securing a convincing 7-wicket victory for the Men in Blue. With this win, India notched their fourth consecutive victory in the World Cup 2023. For his outstanding batting performance, Virat Kohli was named the Player of the Match.
