Mulder's recent 367* off 334 against Zimbabwe became the highest Test score a batter had registered away from home.

All-rounder Wiaan Mulder etched his name into the record books by registering an unbeaten 367-run knock off 334 balls in the second Test of the two-match series between Zimbabwe and South Africa. His historic knock in Bulawayo comprised a total of 49 fours and four sixes.
With that, Mulder made history by topping the list for the highest individual scores in away Tests. He could have easily gone past Brian Lara's all-time highest Test score of 400* had Mulder, the standby skipper, not declared the innings at Lunch on the second day of the game.

Another landmark which Mulder breached was that of Graeme Smith by having the highest aggregate by a South African batter in a Test. Smith had scored a total of 362 runs (277 and 85) against England at Edgbaston in 2003, a game that ended in a drawn event.
The Proteas did not take a lot of time to wind the Zimbabwean first innings up. The hosts could bat only 43 overs and post a paltry 170 on the board. Test debutant, Prenelan Subrayen, starred for South Africa with a four-wicket haul (4/42 in 10 overs).
Mulder was amongst the wickets too. Codi Yusuf (2/20 in seven overs) and he (2/20 in six overs) shared four wickets between themselves. Corbin Bosch (1/27 in seven overs) and Senuran Muthusamy (1/59 in 13 overs) chipped in with a wicket apiece, as the visitors enforced a follow-on as well.

Zimbabwe ended the second day on 51/1 after being enforced to take the follow-on. Dion Myers (11 off 28) was the only wicket to fall in the 16 overs faced by the Craig Ervine-led outfit. They will have to play out of their skins to survive the entire upcoming day.
