The Indian Premier League (IPL) announced the list of the players that will go under the hammer at the IPL 2023 mini-auction on December 23 in Kochi. The upcoming auction will have 405 players in the pool, including 132 overseas players. Initially, teams selected 369 names from the first list of 991 players and then requested 36 additional names as well.

There are 282 uncapped players in the recent list, including four from associate nations. A maximum of 87 slots are available, including 30 for overseas stars. The highest reserve price bracket isINR 2 crore and 19 overseas players have chosen to get slotted in this bracket. Now that the final players' list is out, teams will be scratching their heads to make their final preparations with a strategy for the mini-auction.

Afghanistan's bowler Allah Ghazanfar is the youngest cricketer in the 405 players list for the IPL 2023 mini-auction and is likely to attract the interest of the bidders on December 23. The young spinners from Afghanistan are always in the demand in T20 cricket and Ghazanfar would want to make a name for himself if gets an opportunity to play in the biggest T20 league in the world.

Ghazanfar was born on 15 July 2007, which makes him the youngest player in the pool of 405 players for the IPL 2023 mini-action with an age of 15 years and 151 days. He is a right-arm off-spinner and plays for Mis Ainak Knights in the Shpageeza Cricket League. He stands tall at 6 ft 2 inches and has set his base price for the INR 20 lakh for the auction.

His name first emerged in the news when he took four wickets while conceding 15 runs against Hindukush Stars in the latest edition of the Shpageeza Cricket League in August this year. The current youngest player to feature in the IPL is Prayas Barman, who played one game for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2019 at the age of 16 years and 157 days.

While Ghazanfar remains a new name in the cricket world, the oldest player in the 405 players' list is a popular figure, Amit Mishra. The veteran Indian spinner, who ages 40 years and 19 days, is registered for the IPL 2023 mini-auction after getting released by Delhi Capitals ahead of the upcoming season.

Mishra boasts excellent numbers in T20 cricket with 272 wickets in 244 matches at an average of 22.38 and an economy rate of 7.14. He has taken 166 wickets from 154 IPL games at an average of 23.97.
