The wicketkeeper-batter could have scored a potential second T20I ton. However, he was dismissed eight runs short courtesy of a blinder by the Zimbabwean captain Sikandar Raza while running from the 30-yard circle towards the fence. He was also the first wicket to fall for Afghanistan. The score was 159 in the 16th over at the fall of the wicket.
Coming to the match, skipper Ibrahim Zadran registered 60 off 49 while Sediqullah Atal remained not-out on 35 off just 15 balls. Raza was the most economical bowler from the lot, conceding only 20 runs in his four-over quota while Brad Evans was impressive too, picking up two wickets for only 33 runs in his four overs.
